Treasure Coast wedding community comes thru!!

Its not very often that we get to do something to give back to the community. So when Mashell Lewis, Owner of Elegant Occasions, and a local wedding planner, called us to see if we wanted to be part of Loretta and Scooters wedding plans we said, Absolutely!!! Seems that Loretta, who is a beautiful young lady, is suffering from a terminal form of cancer and one thing she really wanted was to "be able to get married before she died". Well Friday nite she got what she wanted thanks in part to Mashell's efforts, and thanks to the many vendors that donated their time, and efforts, and even rings!!! Perhaps the biggest donation was from Marianne Muratore, one of the owners of Josefs at the Saints. She provided all the catering and the banquet facilities!!! Now thats amazing right there, but also Paragon Entertainment provided the entertainment for the evening. John from Cobblestone Limo not only donated the limo, but even drove them himself!! The Flower Shop in St Lucie West donated all the floral arrangements, and the rings were donated as well. (Mashell, let me know who so I can update this!!) We of course donated our services as well. Even Jeffrey Lazo at Pro DPI Photolab in California just donated a complete set of proofs for the bride and groom when they heard of the story. But the real story of the day wasn't the wedding vendors, it truly was about Scooter and his beautiful new wife Loretta. To have been a part of it was a bonus for us all. Congrats again guys....we will all have a good thought for both of you!!!

Our 1st Commitment Ceremony, Orlando

Well, there is a first time for everything. And Sunday morning at the beautiful Leu Gardens in Orlando, was my first gay wedding. Some may say its only a commitment ceremony...well legally i guess so, but these guys...Darren and Ron...tied the knot...and by any definition it was a wonderful, emotion filled beautiful wedding ceremony. All I can say is that it truly was no different than any fun filled wedding that I have ever done (more than 500). In fact, it was a good deal more fun than a great many of those!!! (Albeit with a few more show tunes:))Fun was the order of the day, and no detail no matter how small was overlooked. Rarely have I ever encountered a couple who cared so dearly for each of their guests...and clearly for each other. They were the antithesis of the "all about me" bridal syndrome which afflicts so many in this same arena...a very refreshing change indeed.

Anyway, Ron & Darren, well done lads!! Congratulations once again!!

Abbey & Dan's Tequesta CC Wedding

What a day for Abbey & Dan. Even though it was a hot August day in Tequesta, Abbey and Dan's afternoon couldn't have been any nicer!! From the beautiful Baptist church in Tequesta, to the fine Tequesta Country Club, everything came up in rainbows on this sunny afternoon. See this entire event in our client area!! BB

Another hot wedding in South Florida!!

Krystin & Kyle's big day started and finished at the Embassy Suites in Palm Bch Gdns. Once we got Krys ready we jetted on over to St Paul of the Cross on Singer Island which is a beautiful church indeed. Once officially hitched, we took a quick excursion to the beach (well...boardwalk) for some nice summer beach shots then ducked back in the limo to get us back to the Embassy Suites. Diane and crew took care of every detail as they always do in grand fashion, what a great venue!! Then we turned things over to our Master of ceremonies Jerry from Kenny Mondo who once again rocked the house.

Now the bride and groom are off to Italy for a super honeymoon!! So feel free to leave them any message you like right here on the blog.

You can see all the pix HERE!

Vacation 2007

Well as you'll see we just took a quick vacation up to the North Georgia Mountains. If you have never checked out Big Canoe , then I suggest you do so. Its a unique little mountain village all in one spot. It has 27 holes of outstanding golf!! 3 Lakes, 15 miles of hiking trails, 2 mountains, and really just too much to mention here.....and best of all, the place is filled with vacation homes and condos you can rent. That first shot is looking out our window!! I recommend checking out VRBO where you can enter Big Canoe and have your choice of accomodations that are just out of this world...Its about an hour north of Atlanta...and close to Helen, Dahlonega, Amicalola Falls, and much more.

And yeah, thats me hacking it up on one of the prettier holes at Big Canoe. I'm the old fart...the other guy is my 11 yr old son!!!

Fun Times at Stone Mountain in Georgia

Hey everyone, if you need a cool place to go for vacation, check out Stone Mountain in Georgia. Its just East of Atlanta, and has lots of stuff to do...like the guy in the pix doing a live glass blowing exhibition or live blacksmithing etc.....the night gets topped off by the coolest laser light show you'll ever see all set to music and accompanied with fireworks as you can see...Oh yeah..theres a huge stone mountain there too...and it has an incredible carving on one side as you can see in the pix. Only bad thing was their transportation system is really not adequate, nor are the guide/instructions you get with your little brochure as you pay your money...They really need to take a course in Disney magic!! Anyway it was a blast and the kids loved it...the golf course there is very very good as well.

Almost forgot to mention...all the shots you see in these vacation shots are from the new Canon 1d MK3 ...I've gotta tell you guys, this thing is far and away the finest tool I've ever picked up!! If you get your hands on one, you'll see what I mean.....Those laser shots are handheld believe it or not...its an incredible technological wonder!! Hopefully I'll be putting it to work for you real soon too!! BB
